To ensure the highest possible training and publication standards, FP-ENAS promotes collaboration with scientists from both within and outside of UFP.
All FP-ENAS training events are open to external participants working on related projects/topics in the areas of Energy, Environment, and Health. This ensures a rapid exchange of ideas and enables close collaboration beyond institutional and even disciplinary boundaries. It has positive effects in terms of networking with other research centres, universities, industries, and allows the development of individual research projects beyond the expertise available in the group.
FP-ENAS organizes scientific workshops, expected to add substantial value, bringing the FP-ENAS in touch with a much wider range of scientists and engineers. These workshops include sessions from invited leading experts to help disseminate the FP-ENAS objectives and making it the leading in training standards in the respected field. Other participating institutions from academia and industry are particularly welcome to join the initiatives organized by FP-ENAS, to share the core ideas, and to engage in collaboration.
UFP Teaching Hospital
Fernando Pessoa Foundation (FECFP), owner of Universidade Fernando Pessoa (UFP), is also the owner of the “UFP Teaching Hospital”, providing real-life situations in several health R&D thematic areas such as microbiology and epidemiology. FP-ENAS and its researchers have full access to the infrastructures and facilities offered by our “UFP Teaching Hospital” to obtain samples and data for R&D, as well as to undertake and apply R&D in clinical protocols
